Botkyrka Municipality is the sixth largest municipality in Stockholm County and consists of the districts Alby, Fittja, Hallunda, Norsborg, Tullinge, Tumba, Vårsta, and Grödinge. Botkyrka Municipality has approximately 95,000 inhabitants and over 6,400 employees.

The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for public authority activities, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. We are about 500 employees who provide support to the residents of Botkyrka in an equitable, fair, and safe manner using strength-based approaches.

The Social Services is facing significant, necessary, and positive changes, and as our current operations manager moves on after many years, we are looking for you who want to provide our employees with the conditions to give the residents of Botkyrka the best possible service and support.

You will be responsible for one of two operational areas within our children's track. The operation includes over 90 employees in five units. The operation encompasses receiving children, foster homes, and family law, as well as two units that work preventively towards children, young people, and parents. The management team has great competence and strong commitment to maintain and develop an operation that helps the residents of Botkyrka before small concerns become large.

You contribute from your operation in the tactical management group where you, together with three colleagues and the deputy social director, are responsible for driving and developing the administration's operational work.

Specifically, the role entails:

• Following up on the development and results of the various units and providing support and coaching to the unit managers while being a present leader and manager
• Participating and being proactive in the various development areas of the operation within and outside the framework of Goals and budget
• Collaborating with other relevant administrations, authorities, and community actors to develop the operation to meet citizens' needs and societal changes
• Leading through others to achieve the operation's goals

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in management and leadership within social services. Furthermore, you are a social worker or have another qualification that the employer deems equivalent. You have deep knowledge of social services work regarding children and families, as well as knowledge of where social services as a whole stand today and where we are headed. You are updated on societal developments and what is happening in the world.

You have a knack for finding solutions and can effortlessly switch between the small and the overarching. You have the ability to handle whatever comes our way and steer the operation towards set goals. You are brave and vulnerable, accountable, and visionary.

It is an advantage if you have worked with children and families in both public authority activities and preventive work. We would also like you to have knowledge of Signs of Safety and be multilingual.
